Sable Square Fatherīs Day Cook-off and Toys For Boys Expo
Sable Square, together with International Hotel School and Next48Hours, will be presenting a Fathers Day Cook Off Competiton.
We are on a search to find five fathers and bringing out the master chef in them this Fathers Day. These Fathers will be chosen to compete on Saturday 20 June from 11h00 in Sable Squares promotion court. I.H.S. will set up an outside kitchen where the fathers will have the cook-off. Minki van der Westhuizen, a food critique and a master chef from I.H.S., will judge the 5 dishes on taste and presentation.
As an incentive to enter, one father will win a full Jamie Oliver cooking set including pots, pans and cookbooks together with a cooking course from I.H.S., a full body massage from Beauty Magic. In case this makes the father feel a little too refined, we will round off the prize with an extreme formula 1 driving experience in a real formula 1 car at Killarney.
The 4 runner ups will each receive consolidation prizes from Sable Square, including a cookbook to go practice their cooking at home, an advanced driving course at Killarney, an Audi driving experience plus a massage and hair cut. Who knows, maybe they will be back next year for a revenge cook off!
The drive to get our 5 competing fathers will run from 10th to 16th June 2009.
Outdoor expo themed toys for boys
This will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 20th and 21st June. There will be a range of cars, 4 x 4s, quads, jet skis, boats, bikes on display and a range of activities. Of these activities we will have a paintball setup where you are able to do some target practice and shoot paint balls. We will attempt to get Arrive Alive to do a display with their mobile crash test unit, where shoppers can actually experience a small crash. We will also set up a jumping castle boxing ring and the infamous bull ride. Pick n Pay has already agreed to have their well instituted boerrie stand outside on the dates.Media:
